Post Launch Track

Capacity - the maximum amount or number that can be contained or accommodated.

If you want to increase the capacity of your church, you have to increase the capacity of your leaders. Leadership Capacity begins with the "lead guy". We have been told for years that everything rises and falls on leadership. During the Post Launch Track we will be learning from leaders who have continued to grow the capacity of their church and their leadership. This is the strategy that one must employ to continue to leverage their church plant to greater impact.

These sessions will focus on growing the leader's capacity in five critical areas.

Session Speakers:
• Matt Chandler
• Alan Hirsch
• Scott Hodges
• Gary Lamb
• Shawn Lovejoy
• Troy McMahon
• David Putman

Session Descriptions:

Session 1 - The Leader's Capacity to Lead Himself (Matt Chandler)
Every leader has his leads. The self-aware leader identifies the lids and is relentless at doing what it takes to raise the lids. Many of these lids are predictable to the stage of growth, while others are unique to the leader.

Session 2 - The Leader's Capacity to Stay on Course (Gary Lamb / Scott Hodges)
There are many distractions along the way. Those we lead always have another or better idea. We find ourselves questioning our own vision and decisions when we stall. However, leaders who stay on course are constantly expanding their horizons when it comes to vision. They know that the greater the impact the greater their ability must be to hear God, cast a vision, and stick to it no matter what.

Session 3 - The Leader's Capacity to Financing the Mission (Shawn Lovejoy / Troy McMahon)
Every ministry is challenged by finances. Most leaders hesitate when it comes to making the big ask. Yet finances will always be a lid unless leaders challenge their people with a new vision for resources and lead people to generosity.

Session 4 - The Leader's Capacity to Lead Teams (David Putman)
Leaders lead churches, ministry teams, volunteer teams, and people. Many young church planters have limited experience and time under their belt when it comes to leading people. This session will focus on some of the key issues related to raising the lid when it comes to leading teams.

Session 5 - The Leader's Capacity to Make Disciples (Alan Hirsch)
We all have the same mission, "go make disciples". Often God uses us in unique ways to accomplish that mission we call the vision. Those who make disciples are intentional about it. Come learn form a pastor who takes the mission of disciples making to the heart and discover what it means to make Biblical disciples.
